I was gifted my first 35mm camera when I was 15 years old. My father had very graciously been sharing his with me. It was a particularly generous gesture. Being a father of 5 and a single income household, that camera was irreplaceable. Photography became a unique connection to my dad. It also began my emotional connection to the people on the other side of the lens. I consider it a sacred honor to be invited into the most meaningful moments in peoples' lives, and be able to provide a tangible record of it.
